It’s still winter in most of the country, but the weather forecast for the coming week where I live is sunny and high 60’s-low 70’s. Please note: that’s not bragging, as you probably have enough water, which we don’t around here. We spent last weekend cleaning up the back yard and making it useable again, and now I have the perfect spot for an afternoon cocktail.
One problem: my cocktail has to be alcohol-free, at least for the next several weeks. Currently I’ve got a pitcher of water with cucumber and mint, freshly made cold brew coffee, and an 8 pack of La Croix lemon flavored sparkling water. This week I’d bought italian parsley for a soup – I will admit right now that it never made it into the soup.
Remembering the fabulous Secret Garden from Magpie, I muddled the parsley and added lemon sparkling water. Voila! Some pistachios (these are the best I’ve ever had) and feet propped up while sitting on the back patio here:
So now I have a new favorite and it only needs one thing – a cool name.
Green and Gold. That’s a good name.
